Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Digger, published by Cheng Yao, handles information. It applies to the iOS and Android apps. Digger does not operate a backend for Query data, accounts, analytics, or advertising.
What Digger does not collect
Digger does not upload Query data. We do not create accounts, show ads, or include analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not sell or share personal information.
What stays on your device
Recent Queries remain on this device so you can refill the form. Each Recent Query contains only a normalized name and record type. Results are never saved. You can delete this list with Clear History in Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
DNS Queries
When you run a Query, Digger sends a DNS request to the system resolver or to a custom resolver and port you enter. That traffic goes to the resolver you chose, not to Digger. If the custom resolver is on your local network, iOS may ask for local-network access; that permission is used only for those Queries.
Permissions
- Internet / network state — to send DNS Queries.
- Local network (iOS, optional) — only when a custom resolver is on the local network.
Copy and Share use the system clipboard and share sheet only when you tap those actions.
Children
Digger is a general-purpose network utility. It does not target children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Continued use of Digger after an update means you accept the revised policy.
